Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I know that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but taking this first step is an act of courage. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone - I’m here to walk alongside you as we explore solutions.
As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I approach therapy from a systems theory perspective, recognizing that our relationships, environments, and past experiences shape us in profound ways. Some experiences lift us up, while others weigh us down. My work focuses on understanding how unresolved trauma, generational patterns, and systemic barriers impact our emotional and behavioral health.
I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, along with a Bachelor of Arts from Gettysburg College. For me, social work and spirituality are deeply connected, influencing both my approach and my identity. As a woman of color, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and someone with a multicultural background, I understand firsthand how identity, culture, and systemic challenges shape our experiences. These perspectives are central to my work, fostering an inclusive and affirming space for all clients.
Outside of work, I find joy in spending time with my three dogs, binge watching a good show, going for a ride with my spouse, or cooking a homemade meal.
Area of Expertise
We all face struggles that others may not see. Often, we push through pain or dismiss it - whether because of cultural expectations, family influences, or the belief that it’s “all in our heads.” But let me reassure you: your experiences are valid. Mental, emotional, and even spiritual well-being are just as important as physical health, yet many of us were never taught how to care for them. Unlearning the idea that seeking help is a weakness can be challenging, but it can also open the door to meaningful growth and healing.
I specialize in working with teens and adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relational distress, life transitions, and identity exploration. I also provide culturally responsive and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, helping individuals navigate systemic barriers, family expectations, and spiritual integration in their healing journey. My goal is to support you in reclaiming the ‘joy’ and well-being you deserve.

Techniques I Use
Someone once told me, "It doesn't get easier, but you get better." That wisdom has stuck with me, and I carry it into my work as we navigate life's challenges together. I strive to meet you where you are, offering understanding and practical support to help you overcome obstacles.
I tailor my approach to your needs, combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to develop coping strategies, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and manage emotions. I also incorporate mindfulness practices for grounding and self-awareness, alongside strengths-based and person-centered techniques to empower you on your healing journey. My work is always trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and, when appropriate, integrates spiritual elements aligned with your beliefs.
